Paul Carver is Bathurst’s only Law Society Accredited Business Law Specialist and leads our Commercial, Property and Conveyancing Practices.
He has extensive experience in large commercial, property and mortgage transactions that also includes advising and acting in respect of purchases and sales of businesses, preparation of Leases, Option Agreements, Deeds of Company Arrangements etc.
Paul, and King Cain in general, have acted for Developers on major subdivisional projects over the years in the Bathurst area, for Mortgagees and large Corporations in major commercial conveyancing transactions. Paul has an extensive and detailed knowledge of both domestic and rural conveyancing and his expertise in Corporate structures and Taxation matters ensures that you receive proper and expert advice in relation to any business or commercial transaction.
King Cain has a considerable client Property Portfolio in the Bathurst and Central West area, as well as having acted on the sale and purchase of Real Estate throughout New South Wales.
Paul now also practices extensively in Wills and Estate Planning and is currently completing a Post Graduate Masters Degree in that area. He has experience in contested Wills and Estate cases in the Equity and Probate Divisions of the Supreme Court.
His Business Law expertise allows him to provide expert advice in the restructuring of client’s assets in a way that minimises risks to them and maximizes the benefits to them and in time, their family. With client’s having a wide range of business interests and personal assets the expertise required to provide this service is a vital component of a client’s broader planning and risk management strategy.
Paul was admitted as a Solicitor in 1978 after doing his Articles with EH Tebbitt & Sons Solicitors Pitt Street Sydney. That firm was highly respected as a Conveyancing firm in the City and Metropolitan area. Mr HW Tebbitt, a partner in that firm, was for many years on the Conveyancing Committee of the Law Society. Paul received a solid grounding in Leasing and Conveyancing transactions, including the very intricate Old System Title Land ownership and would be one of the remaining few Solicitors who are expert in this Title System, which still remains relatively common in Bathurst and other rural areas.
Paul has practiced as a Solicitor in Bathurst since 1981 and became a partner at King Cain when he merged his Practice with King Cain Richardson & Gilbertson (as it was then known) in 1993.
Paul is married to Helen and they have one daughter Madilyn. He is a keen sportsman and former President of Rugby Union Cricket Club, and Captain of their First Grade Team. He is the current President of the Bathurst District Cricket
Association. Paul is also a former President of the Bathurst Carillon City
Tennis Club and continues to play on a regular basis. Most Saturdays you will find him either at the Golf course, or in summer, touring the various cricket grounds.
